Mathason the not so great Super Delegate.
It was interesting to see that Jim Matheson is not going t0 the Democrat Convention in Denver. I think he is between a rock and a hard place, on one hand he is a Super Delegate and is it not his duty to help represent the party at the convention? And on the other hand where does it say in the constitution that he has to go? I will admit I am torn on this, I think if it was a Republican doing this I think that I would be a little upset. I did however like his answer "I have a very full schedule already set up in Utah, and it is also the first full week of school. With William going into the fourth grade, it is kind of an important week to be around." But t their you go again those who have children most don't have the luxury of taking time off so why should he? I personally think he has the right not to go and be home like he wants to do.

Obama ripping off Bono?
It was amazing to so many people out to see Barack Obama speak in Berlin, there was estimated to be around 80,000 people, But the main stream media may not have told you that there was a FREE concert before he spoke. As I heard him speak I did not hear anything nuance in it, nothing that stood out; that is until he said this "People of Berlin! People of the world! This is our moment. This is our time." well come to find out that on July 8th, 2005, Live 8. Bono said this "This is our moment. This is our time. This is our chance. To stand up for what's right. We're not looking for charity. We're looking' for justice!" hummmm sounds familiar. Another thing that struck me is I don't recall him ever saying anything good about America, in fact if you don't have to listen closely to find him ripping America.

Oklahoma?
I was reading my Deseret Morning news paper and came across article written by Walter Williams. He is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. His headline is "Oklahomans' efforts to rein in feds offers glimmer of hope." I thought that sounds interesting so I read the piece I will site what it says. State Rep. Charles Key has introduced a Joint Resolution 1089. The resolution's language, in part, reads "Whereas, the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America reads as follows: 'The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people'; and whereas, the Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of the federal power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the United States and no more; and whereas , the scope of power defined by Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and Whereas, today, in 2008, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government.... Now, therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the 2nd session of the 51st Oklahoma Legislature: that the State of Oklahoma hereby clams sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all of the powers otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. That this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers." Key's resolution passed the House 92 to 3 vote but it reached a bottleneck in the Senate where it languished until adjournment. WOW that is good, I HOPE that Utah takes this and changes the word Oklahoma to Utah.

Good by Tony Snow
I was so impressed by how Fox News paid a tribute to a great man and and as just as good journalist. I watched him many times while working at Fox, I loved how he always had his facts straight. I just loved watching how he handled the reporters while he was the Press secretary, it was truly awesome to see. Everyone who had anything to say about him it was all good, I don't thing I heard a negative thing about the guy; to me that says a lot

Slat Lake County Sheriff's
I am angry at Sheriff Jim Winder at the way he Fired the Undresheriff Beau Babka. I have the privilege of knowing him, and others who known him, I can tell you that the Utah Democrat Party have been looking for a reason to get rid of him because he endorsed some republicans in 2006. Well it looks like they have done it. I will not stand by and let Winder do this, I will be actively campaigning for who ever runs against him.
