Well, well so we have another democrat Governor in trouble. As I'm sure we have all heard by now the despicable news about Illinois (D) Gov. Rod Blagojevich trying to sell the Senate seat vacated by Obama.
Let’s recap we have had the Gov. of New York resign we will most likely have the Illinois Gov. resign or impeached, we have had Congressman William Jefferson from Louisiana defeated this last November; yes he is a Democrat, who got caught with $90,000 dollars in cash in his freezer. Then we had the congressman from Florida (D) Rep. Tim Mahoney who replaced the former congressman Mark Folly who sent inappropriate emails to a page; (which he probably single handedly lost the 2006 elections for the Republicans). Rep. Mahoney has now come out and admits to having “Multiple Affairs, But No Crimes", right here is some excerpts from a story by the A.P titled "Mahoney Admits 'Multiple' Affairs But No Crimes" Saturday, October 18, 2008 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,440183,00.html
Mahoney said in his first set of interviews since news broke earlier this week that he had a sexual relationship with Patricia Allen, 50, whom he met while campaigning in 2006." Allen went to work for Mahoney's congressional office, then his campaign. Mahoney said she was fired for performance issues, not because of the affair.
Allen threatened to sue Mahoney for sexual harassment. They reached a settlement to avoid a public airing, with her payout coming from Mahoney's personal accounts, not from campaign funds or federal dollars, he said.
In a statement Friday, the ethics committee said it was reviewing the matter and would interview Mahoney and others.
Mahoney, whose district leans slightly Republican, said he will remain in the race and said he would not bow to Republicans' calls for him to resign. He said he takes pride in his record, if not his personal life.
"We did go to Washington and we got rid of the meals, the trips, we brought more transparency," he said.
He said he settled the case with Allen because "whether you prevail right or wrong, at the end of the day, you're living in a glass house of public opinion."
Let’s look at the 3rd paragraph up where it talks about the district being slightly Republican. He said he will not bow to the Rep call’s to resign; think back, how often does a democrat resign, the answer is hardly ever. Remember the way the media just bombarded us relentlessly for 6 weeks about what he did. Mahoney used his campaign cash as hush money and you never hear a peep about it from the media, what a joke. Now let’s look at the 2nd paragraph up does anyone and I mean anyone believe that they got rid of meals and trips, give me a break. Oh yeah when he ran after Mark Foley left; he was running on family values.
Yes it is true that Republicans have had their problems I am not trying to diminish what they did, but when you compare what they have gotten in trouble with and what the Democrats have gotten in trouble with, it’s no comparison the Dems win hands down. By the way Mahoney lost.

Obama Montage
Lets take a look at some of Obama's own words. Is this a man who you think should be president? I got the videos that you will see from YouTube. If you only watch 1 let it be the last one, it is about 10 min long and he is reading from his own book, and it is towards the end of the video and it is shocking what he has to say about white people.

There were warnings
Lets look at who is responsible for the financial mess that we find ourselves in. Take a look at this video. Remember this is late 2004. It was the REPUBLICANS who were warning everybody about the problems that we are now in. Also do you notice that no one is hauling any of the C.E.O's up to the capital like big oil every other month.

Convention rap up!
So now that we are officially off and running, it's about time it has only been 19 months of this. Wow the hits just kept on coming from the Republicans. First we had the democrat convention, yawn; I will admit the two best delivery speakers were former (Thank goodness) President Bill Clinton and Senator (The Community Organizer, what ever that is) Obama. They can give the best speeches riddled with no substance I have ever seen. Obama got 6% points out of this convention which is to be expected, but the democrats are more scared now then ever. I mean come on there was so much hype about his speech it should have been 15% like Al Gores was. And the Brilliant move by Senator McCain coming out with his Vice Presidential pick the day after the convention was pure genius, NO ONE I mean NO ONE was hardly talking about Obama it was awesome; and then to top it off by picking Governor Sarah Palin. A woman WOW. What ever the Democrats did in those 4 days was wiped out by this and the polls show that McCain and Obama are now even, WOW this is so exciting! McCains choice of V.P takes some issues off the table, for instance the history factor, we either have a black guy or a women. It takes the issues that conservatives want women to stay home out. We think it is a good thing if a woman stays home, but we encourage them to be great and do wonderful things, just like we do all people, every where of race and gender.
Obama's choice is a loser, the guy is a jerk he told a reporter that, "I am sure that I have a higher IQ then you do," what ever that is so belittling it is outrages, he also said that you can't go in to a 7-11 with out having a slight Indian accent, that's not races at all. The V.P pick also shows that Obama is weak on some issues like Foreign polices, so he picks a guy who has been in the Senate for 36 years who said we should divide Iraq in to three parts: Shiite Arabs, the Sunni Arabs and the Kurds. Top officials in the U.N agree that would not be a good idea IRAN would take the Kurds out. Also it shows that Obama has inside polling that shows that he is losing with white men so Sen. Biden was a safe pick.

Democratic Disunity
So, the Democratic convention has been going for the past few days. I'm not sure if you've been watching or not, but boy has it been funny to watch as the Democrats struggle to unite under what could be one of the most disastrous presidents this country has ever seen. If any of these speakers are trying to show off how capable Obama is, they are failing. Every single one is still echoing the same tired theme of "hope" and "change we can believe in". No one is talking about specific policies that will help Americans. Their pie in the sky dreams about our energy policy magically changing from oil to renewable sources is laughable. How do you plan on putting "put 1 million new plug-in/hybrid cars on the road" Obama? Give us some specifics!
Anywho, I thought you might like this little film. Turns out the Obama campaign is threatening to sue anyone who plays this, and sadly CNN and Fox News are complying.

McCain's V.P is big for GOP
McCain's Vice Presidential pick and Obama's are coming down to the end. I do not believe that for Obama it is a make or brake decision as it could be for Sen. McCain. The best thing Obama could do is pick Sen. Hillary Clinton, it would, I think bring more of the women vote, not as much is you would think, but maybe just enough. When she was still in, there was a poll out that she lost the 35-50 year old women voters which is a big enough number to effect you at the poll, but the older women are revolting against Obama and have a web site up that they are supporting McCain because of what happened in the primary; I think it will attract a lot of women voters that are really mad at the Democrat party for throwing her under the bus for a black guy with very little experience, after all she had to put up with all of Bills affairs which she had to cover up every other day. I think Obama will pick Evan Bayh or Joe Biden, I believe that they will be is 2 final choices. Biden is known to be a real jerk and Bayh has little experience, Obama needs someone who complements him. John McCain if he wants to win will pick Mitt Romney he has most well known name out there and from everything that is buzzing in the political world, he is the number 1 pick among the Conservatives. He will carry Michigan and possibly Massachusetts both of which have a lot of electoral votes. If McCain wants to lose pick Joe Lieberman he is good on some issues, but there will be a Conservative revolt like you haven't seen. I think that the McCain people put it out there that he might pick a pro choice candidate so that when he picks Romney the evangelical Conservative will have a sigh of relief when he picks Mitt.

Gas Prices
If you're like me, the high price of gas is on your mind constantly. I found this little graphic. Now obviously, I don't believe that just because the Democrats are in control of Congress, gas prices will automatically go up. We can see they were on the way up since Bush took office. But, I definitely blame these high prices on the allegience of the Dems to the fanatical environmentalists. I say fanatical, because everyone realizes how important the environment is to our health. It's the fanatics that will shut down highway construction because of a snail, or fight against even wind power because a few birds might die.The fact of the matter is, our economy runs on oil. As much as I'd love to see alternative forms of energy being used in our country, it's going to take time. Obama somehow thinks that waving his magic wand is going to get us off oil, which is laughable at best. We need to get as much oil as we can from our own backyard while we figure out different forms of energy. With the situation in Iraq improving every day, this issue is turning out to be a lifesaver for the Republicans because they are 100% correct to want to bring our oil to market. Even if we as Americans don't see a drop of this oil it will benefit us greatly. The world oil markets will see that the supply of oil is increasing, thus bringing prices down. Also, we are currently importing $700 billion dollars of oil every year. Anything we can do to export some of our oil will lessen our trade deficits, and make the dollar more powerful. You want change? Hope? Yeah, don't vote for Obama, because he is part of the problem.

Mexican soldiers enter state, hold border agent at gunpoint
Hello everyone i hope you have enjoyed reading The Gripester post's; I was going to take some more time off, But I heard about this and had to talk about it. It comes from the The Arizona Republic , It has to do with the Mexican Border, and how one of OUR OWN agent's was held at gun point by 4 Mexican soldiers. (Did I mention it was on OUR OWN SIDE) How dare our Government allow this to happen this is not the first time that Mexican Soldier's have crossed our border, this is the 40th time since October. This situation has been out of control for too long and needed to be dealt with years ago. The violence that has been going on there has to stop, and the only way its going to is by putting our Military on the border. Further more I call upon our elected officials in Washington to prosecute and throw in jail the Mayor's who proclaim their city to be quote "A Sanctuary city" (Thank you Mayor Gavin Newsome) and directly violating Federal laws. Some of you may remember the story of the 2 border patrol agents who shot a well know drug dealer in the butt while running back to the border, and the drug dealer gets immunity to come back to the U.S and testify against the 2 border patrol agents and they end up in prison serving a 12 year sentence and the drug dealer gets 5 years. Mean while they put them in a jail where one gets almost beaten to death and President Bush is well a where of this an stands ideally by.
Screwing liberals, one dollar at a time.
Hey everyone! Boy did I find a gem today on a facebook ad!
Here is a simple way to freeing Moveon.org of their cash. Right now they are giving away free Obama pins, postage included. I'm figuring each pin is costing them $2 for advertising, postage, and manufacturing. Every person that orders one and throws it away will have wasted some of the money that normally would have been used to push their extreme left agenda. To order one, click here ...
I'll keep an eye out for more of these easy ways to prevent the infection of liberalism!

The Gripester
Hello readers, I am going to be doing some guest blogging here for the next little while. Just call me the gripester. I am far more libertarian than Political Junk'y is actually, and I think with our two opinions should work well together.
My favorite topics to write about include:
economic blunders our government makes,
why capitalism is the answer to every problem in the world, including poverty and the supposed threat "global warming" poses,
and left-wing idiocy in general.
This should be a good time for all, and I hope you enjoy reading our posts.

Union's to political.
As I drive down Redwood Road and 21st south freeway, and drive by the the labor union building I see political signs on their lawn and ALL of them are for democrat candidates. I think that it is sad how political that they have become. Labor Unions were never meant to be a political organizational power house, they were meant to help the people working in sweat shops. I think that they have become a dangerous organization. This is from Unionfacts.org "Every day, millions of union members have money taken from their paychecks to support some union presidents' political agenda. In 1996, Rutgers economics professor Leo Troy estimated that union political expenditures totaled about $500 million in each election cycle. More recently, the National Institute for Labor Relations Research estimated that total union political expenditures reached $925 million in the 2004 cycle. Over time, this has added up: According to The Center for Responsive Politics, eight of the top ten all-time political contributors are labor unions.
Labor leaders have made the use of employee money for political causes a popular practice — but it's far less popular among the public and the members themselves."

Do nothing Congress.
There is a reason that the Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid congress has a 9 % approval rating, they are worthless. When their hulling Big tobacco up to Capital Hill instead of dealing with the energy crisis that is plaguing America and the economy. And Obama telling us that if we fill up our tires that we will save as much oil as we need to drill for; give me a break that is absurd. So now it’s our fault that we use a lot of oil because WE don’t inflate our TIRES. When is congress going to take the blame for anything, I mean we haven’t built a refinery in 30years; Pelosi and Reid are doing everything they can to not let a vote come to the floor.
Congratulations Rush Limbaugh!!!
I have a job that allows me to listen to a lot of radio, particularly talk radio. My favorite person to listen to is Rush Limbaugh. There is a reason that he is the number one and has been for a long time. He is a great and intelligent man; he has a gift to see the truth in most cases and tell you what the main stream Media or as Rush calls them “The Drive by Media”, wont tell you. Rush has changed the face of media forever. I don’t think anyone can deny that he helped get the Republicans elected in 1994; I for one believe that if wasn’t for him the Clinton years would have been a lot worse. Rush is responsible for the likes of Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and lets not forget the Fox News Channel. I for one look forward to 10:00 am KNRS 570 am everyday. I would like to congratulate Rush on 20 years of Broadcast Excellence.

Mathason the not so great Super Delegate.
It was interesting to see that Jim Matheson is not going t0 the Democrat Convention in Denver. I think he is between a rock and a hard place, on one hand he is a Super Delegate and is it not his duty to help represent the party at the convention? And on the other hand where does it say in the constitution that he has to go? I will admit I am torn on this, I think if it was a Republican doing this I think that I would be a little upset. I did however like his answer "I have a very full schedule already set up in Utah, and it is also the first full week of school. With William going into the fourth grade, it is kind of an important week to be around." But t their you go again those who have children most don't have the luxury of taking time off so why should he? I personally think he has the right not to go and be home like he wants to do.

Obama ripping off Bono?
It was amazing to so many people out to see Barack Obama speak in Berlin, there was estimated to be around 80,000 people, But the main stream media may not have told you that there was a FREE concert before he spoke. As I heard him speak I did not hear anything nuance in it, nothing that stood out; that is until he said this "People of Berlin! People of the world! This is our moment. This is our time." well come to find out that on July 8th, 2005, Live 8. Bono said this "This is our moment. This is our time. This is our chance. To stand up for what's right. We're not looking for charity. We're looking' for justice!" hummmm sounds familiar. Another thing that struck me is I don't recall him ever saying anything good about America, in fact if you don't have to listen closely to find him ripping America.

Oklahoma?
I was reading my Deseret Morning news paper and came across article written by Walter Williams. He is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. His headline is "Oklahomans' efforts to rein in feds offers glimmer of hope." I thought that sounds interesting so I read the piece I will site what it says. State Rep. Charles Key has introduced a Joint Resolution 1089. The resolution's language, in part, reads "Whereas, the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America reads as follows: 'The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people'; and whereas, the Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of the federal power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the United States and no more; and whereas , the scope of power defined by Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and Whereas, today, in 2008, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government.... Now, therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the 2nd session of the 51st Oklahoma Legislature: that the State of Oklahoma hereby clams sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all of the powers otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. That this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers." Key's resolution passed the House 92 to 3 vote but it reached a bottleneck in the Senate where it languished until adjournment. WOW that is good, I HOPE that Utah takes this and changes the word Oklahoma to Utah.

Good by Tony Snow
I was so impressed by how Fox News paid a tribute to a great man and and as just as good journalist. I watched him many times while working at Fox, I loved how he always had his facts straight. I just loved watching how he handled the reporters while he was the Press secretary, it was truly awesome to see. Everyone who had anything to say about him it was all good, I don't thing I heard a negative thing about the guy; to me that says a lot

Slat Lake County Sheriff's
I am angry at Sheriff Jim Winder at the way he Fired the Undresheriff Beau Babka. I have the privilege of knowing him, and others who known him, I can tell you that the Utah Democrat Party have been looking for a reason to get rid of him because he endorsed some republicans in 2006. Well it looks like they have done it. I will not stand by and let Winder do this, I will be actively campaigning for who ever runs against him.
