Mathason the not so great Super Delegate.

It was interesting to see that Jim Matheson is not going t0 the Democrat Convention in Denver. I think he is between a rock and a hard place, on one hand he is a Super Delegate and is it not his duty to help represent the party at the convention? And on the other hand where does it say in the constitution that he has to go? I will admit I am torn on this, I think if it was a Republican doing this I think that I would be a little upset. I did however like his answer "I have a very full schedule already set up in Utah, and it is also the first full week of school. With William going into the fourth grade, it is kind of an important week to be around." But t their you go again those who have children most don't have the luxury of taking time off so why should he? I personally think he has the right not to go and be home like he wants to do.

Matheson is basically a liberal republican. He doesn't have very much in common with his party, and I wonder if that is playing a part in this. That, and maybe he realizes that Obama is going to fall flat on his face if elected and he doesn't want to be put down as voting for him. Pretty smart guy. I'm starting to like him... :)
